아름답고 순수한 노랫말 부드럽고도 감미로운 음악으로 많은 이들에게

사랑을 받은 누리던 포크송 가수로 본명은 헨리 존 도이첸도르프 주니어 이다. 

미국 텍사스 공과대학에 재학 중에 각종 로컬 클럽에서 연주를 시작했고

그가 사랑하던 록키산 지역의 지명을 따서 'Denver' 라고 예명으로 삼았다

Take Me Home, Country Roads 로 고향을 그리는 노래로

1970년대 최고의 전성기로 TV에 단골로 출연을 했고 영화에도 출연을 하였다

아내에 대한 사랑을 노래한 Annie's Song 으로 인기를 얻었다

Take Me Home, Country Roads 는 폭크송 가수들이 번안해서 많이 불렀다
